Education

Schools Programme for 2010
We now have an exciting range of education programmes for children aged three to eleven years.  All of our programmes are linked to the curriculum and provide a wide variety of experiences and activities for children and staff to enjoy.  These range from social, environmental and scientific to language and creativity.

School visits can be arranged at any time during the year and our Education Officer will plan and lead your visit. Our Education Team will look after you and ensure your visit is a success.

Education Garden
Work is now complete and the Garden has been formally opened. Children, with help from the Education Team, have been busy planting and the garden is maturing beautifully. If you are interested in seeing the plans and planting list follow this link - more>

Children's Events 2010

Sunday, 17 October, Apple Day
10.30 am to 4.30 pm
Activities for all the family. children will be able to enjoy a variety of harvest crafts throughout the day. Normal admission charges apply. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Thursday, 28 October, Henry the Hedgehog's Autumn Workshop with our special visitors from Claverdon Hedgehog Rescue
10.30 am to 12 noon for children under 6 yrs or 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm for children 6 yrs and over, £3 per child.
Find out about rescuing and looking after injured hedgehogs and enjoy hedgehog themed crafts. Accompanying adult free. Booking essential. To help support Claverdon Hedgehog rescue, a donation of Whiskers Supermeat with chicken or rabbit will help feed the hedgehogs back to health. Friday, 10 December, Children's Victorian Christmas Workshops
10.30 am to 12 noon or 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm, £3 per child.

Weekend and School Holidays

Every weekend from Easter to the end of October Children's Garden Trails, £1 per child
Three fun activities for children under 12 years. Join Lottie the ladybird, Henry the hedgehog and Art the amazing time travelling ant on their new trails around the gardens. Weekend adult admission charges apply.

During all events, children must be accompanied by an adult.
